Our reception will take place at Villa di Maiano, a beautiful and historic villa situated in the hilltop village of Fiesole overlooking the city of Florence.  We’ll wine and dine on Tuscan cuisine and dance the night away to celebrate our nuptials!

Transportation will be provided from the church to Villa di Maiano and back to the Florence city center where everyone will stay.

History of the Villa
Built in the 15th century, the villa, gardens and surrounding farm has passed from noble family to noble family. The villa has hosted Queen Victoria in 1848 and is the birthplace of Saint Mary Magdalene dei Pazzi (born Catharine).

The Villa, with its magnificent rooms and original 17th and 18th century furnishings and panoramic terrace overlooking Florence, is known to be one of the most remarkable villas in the area and has been the set for numerous films including “Tea with Mussolini” by Franco Zeffirelli and “A Room with a View” by James Ivory.
