Once upon a time at Howard University, a girl met a boy on her first day of college in 1999.  He was known as “Hustle Man” because he always had some sort of hustle from installing “forgotten” cable lines in dorm rooms to renting videos (VHS tapes!) to a convenience store in his dorm room.  After she bribed her friends with free snacks which required MANY trips to his convenience store, eventually a friendship blossomed.  At the end of her freshman year, his sophmore year, they studied for an Algebra II exam together (she got an A…he didn’t) and eventually fell in love.

Since then, they’ve gone through ups, downs, and everything in between together.  One of their favorite memories is an amazing European trip in 2007 which resulted in their love for Europe, and especially Florence, Italy.

Almost 15 years later (there are a few gaps in that time period, but he never ventured away), he proposed.
