European Delivery

Most of you know I picked up my car in Munich through BMW’s European Delivery Program. I will say as long as I am buying German cars and hopefully one day an Italian car, I will only take delivery through their European Delivery Program. Other manufacturers offering ED are Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Volvo (I know not German or Italian). Volkswagen does not offer this service.

If you are considering buying a German car this may be the perfect time to take delivery in Germany. With respect to BMW when negotiated properly, the savings on the overall price of the car will pay for the majority, if not all the cost of your trip. With the other manufacturers, there is a cost savings, but it is less than BMW.

Every dealer for each manufacturer has the ability to do ED, but some:
1. May choose not to negotiate or understand the pricing structure.
2. Do not understand the process.
3. Are mistake prone.

There are a select few dealers around the country that:
1. Understand all of the above.
2. Will make the process painless.
3. Will negotiate via phone and email if you are not local.
4. Paperwork done via FedEx if you are not local.

If you are considering doing BMW ED while in Europe for the wedding, feel free to give me a call. I will be happy to explain the process from beginning to end and where to find all relevant info.  Other manufacturers, I can still explain the process and give needed info, but the pricing structure will differ from BMW.

If you are considering ED, start the process as early as possible this increases your chances of getting your chosen pick-up date. You can get your order and date in now. If you decide to cancel, you can walk away. The dealer does not put the order in to the factory until 30- 45 days prior to your pick-up date, but your delivery date is locked when put the order in with the dealer.
